Blessed Aid Profile
Blessed Aid is a Congolese non-governmental organization holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Founded in 2002, Blessed Aid works across the humanitarian–development–peace nexus, with a strong focus on protection, empowerment, and resilience-building for vulnerable populations.
Operating primarily in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, particularly in North Kivu Province, Blessed Aid has established itself as a credible and experienced local actor supporting women, girls, boys, and children affected by armed conflict, natural disasters, and forced displacement.
The organization is distinguished by its integrated and people-centered approach, combining emergency humanitarian assistance, sustainable economic empowerment, human rights promotion, and social transformation. Blessed Aid envisions a world free from discrimination, violence, and extreme poverty, where local communities are recognized as agents of change rather than passive beneficiaries.
